Who is Rit Nosotro
and how do I cite his essays?
Material on this site is under constant revision. Essays continue to be donated by students and other authors which become property of hyperhistory.net. Emails to the editor of hyperhistory.net often contain constructive comments about the published material. These are used to supplement, clarify, and delete as evidence demands. Hyperhistory.net is a global community effort. Thus, essays do not use the first person nor are they written from a uniquely Western perspective.
In order to reflect the collective authorship of the dynamic content contained on hyperhistory.net, the pseudonym of "Rit Nosotro" has been devised. (Writ is an archaic past tense of "written" and Nosotros is the plural pronoun for "us" in Spanish.) The authorship is "written by us". This does not mean "public domain". Unless otherwise stated, these are anonymous contributions over which hyperhistory.net controls all copyright.

Who is responsible for the contents of the page?
Although the chief editor of these pages holds advanced degrees in Social Studies and has taught in public education for over 15 years, he may reside in a country where many hold aggressively unfavorable views to the presentation of Islamic history as presented on hyperhistory.net. Due to threats received, anonymity will necessitate a low "authority rating" score.
Are sources for factual information clearly listed so they can be verified in another source?
The few essays which are not footnoted are in the process of revision to include footnotes. Sources are cited to point to the context of the selected source documents. hyperhistory.net strives for accuracy, objectivity, and a clearly stated agenda. hyperhistory.net solicits feedback at the bottom of every essay. Accurate information that readers submit is verified and used to revise and update content ASAP. Realizing that no historical perspective can be completely objective, our thesis based essays present facts that lend support to our perspective without concealing facts that may be contrary to our perspective. Since no accounting of history can be exhaustive, objectivity is diminished in any telling. The home page of the website boldly states the historical perspective of the essays. Advertising from Google Ads are clearly differentiated from the informational content of the essays. One of the controversial downfalls of hyperhistory.net may be that it includes "a decent respect for the contributions of Western civilization." U.S. Senate (1994)
